Lost E Mail

Ventura problem

I downloaded the new Ventura OS and my mail quit . How do I get it back?

Also, the High Sierra was easier to use.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

Press and hold a Shift key while launching the Mail app again. That will launch the Mail app in windowed mode (not full screen) with no message selected.

Release the Shift key when the Mail message viewer window appears.

If that does not immediately and permanently resolve the problem, please refer to If you can’t open Mail on your Mac - Apple Support.

John, It does not respond. I was told that I might have to locate the old mail app and then close it down and reapply for a new mail app? But I'm a novice at trouble shooting. Thanks. JD
