Why can’t use True Tone my iPhone X

Try to check if you have some color functions activated.
These may have an effect on whether you can activate True Tone, go to:
Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size
If these features are enabled, try disabling them:
- Filters
- Increase Contrast
- Smart Invert
- Classic Invert
- Grayscale Color
Another reason could be if you have had the screen on your iPhone replaced and the new screen is not an original screen from Apple. This will in most cases block the True Tone function.
