My parent turned off Ask to Buy, but it still makes me send a request.

My parent turned off the Ask to Buy setting, but it’s still making me send requests to get apps. How can I get my phone to stop making me ask for permission to buy apps?

Hello rcvasquez1080!

Regarding the feature, if you're a parent or guardian, you can use your own device to turn on or turn off Ask to Buy. For help with turning the setting off, check out the steps below found in the article here: Approve what kids buy with Ask to Buy - Apple Support

"On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Family Sharing.
  4. Tap your family member's name, then tap Ask to Buy. In iOS 15 or earlier, tap Ask to Buy then tap your family member's name.
  5. Turn on or off Require Purchase Approval. "

If a family member turns 18 and the family organizer turns off Ask to Buy, the family organizer can't turn it on again.

I hope this was helpful. Good Luck!

My parent turned off Ask to Buy, but it still makes me send a request.
