AirPods 3rd gen won’t connect after I pressed forget this device

I by mistake pressed forget this device for my airpods on my iPhone 11 after trying to disconnect the airpods because the left side wasn’t popping up or playing audio. I then tried to reconnect but found out I couldn’t. I charged the case to see if it wasn’t fully charged then tried to connect again but couldn’t. Been trying to get them to reconnect for 4 hours now. Can someone please help me
