DNS services using 250mb of data

Why is the DNS service literally using 100x more data than all of my other apps? It just used 259mb in 7 days. Is anyone else experiencing this? I know what DNS is for, but why so much data?

Probably you are referring to Mobile data using DNS service.


Normally DNS uses small amounts of data ranging from a few hundred MBs to a few Kilobytes depending on IP searches over the internet by the device's Mobile data. Many a time these searches are cached to avoid repeated lookups of the same info for a given period of time for a few days. That is one of the reasons it looks large in your case.
