Did the iPhone storage reporting problem ever get fixed? I am on an iPhone 11 Pro Max with 256 GB storage and IOS 16.2 and after deleting all but 2000 of my photos, it still shows I am using 222+ GB. I turned off iCloud photo backup and iCloud shows very little storage used.

After deleting files on iPhone, you may need to "Restart" the device to see the correct(ed storage amount. Restart your iPhone
PS: If deleted photos remain in the "Recently Deleted" folder they be still be counted.
