function keys settings

Trying to use the Function Keys as Standard Function keys, but while some special features work (brightness), others to not (spotlight, mic) when pressing Fn and the key (i.e. Fn+F4)

(Spotlight and Mic do work if setting is OFF).

Am I missing a setting somewhere?

The issue is with F4 F5 F6. I know that when you press Fn F4, spotlight is supposed to come up, then Fn-F5 for dictation and Fn-F6 for Do not Disturb. However, when I do that, it does not work. Nothing happens. I know the function in System Preference where you use F1, F2.. as standard keys. The functions work if I disable this, but I would prefer pressing the fn keys before using the F functions. Seeking help on how I can troubleshoot this. I am using 12.5.1 macOS

function + f4 or f5 or f6 doesn't work in my macbook function + f4 or f5 or f6 doesn't work on my MacBook. i already edit the keyboard preferences in order to use the fn keys, all fn + f1, f2, etc. it works fine except for f4, f5, and f6 (spotlight, voice, and not disturb mode respectively). i already try the solution on this post but doesn't work. there's any other thing i can try that does not use external or third-party apps? my MacBook is a Macbook pro 14' (2021)

Function Key shortcuts on MacBook I recently upgraded from my 2015 MacBook pro to the new 2023 model and would like to change the function key shortcuts back to how they were on the old model, as I have absolutely 0 use for Spotlight search to be on my function keys as I can simply use cmd+space for that and also do not need dictation or focus as I dont use either of the two. So I would like to change it so that F4 opens Launchpad and F5/F6 controll the brightness of the keyboard, how can I change that?
