An icon of the imac has suddenly appeared on the desktop after a factory reset and a reinstall from a timemachine backup. Its contents are the HD and Network. I can't delete it and can't drag it into the trash. Any ideas how to remove it and why it's there? I've also tried to drag it into the *computer* file in Finder without success.

Thank you, but I’m not referring to the hard drive icon. I’m referring to an icon of the imac itself; that’s what I meant by “computer icon.”

Many are listed as Macintosh HD - Data if they haven't been renamed.
