Green/blue tinge on Apple Watch face?

Hi there,

I can’t for the life of me figure out why my watch is doing this. Certain faces have random blue/green spots on them. One face has it fully around the entire screen, some have it just in one certain place.

What is wrong with my screen? The first picture you can see the ring right around the full face. The second picture you can see the green dot in the activity ring only.

The first picture made me look twice and then zoom in on it to see for sure!

It almost looked like the blue box that would show up if you were screen sharing to your paired iPhone. You can see what I mean if you go into your phone settings (gear icon), > Accessibility, > Apple Watch Mirroring.

Lobsterghost1 is super knowledgeable and I'm positive that he didn't mean for his reply to seem to be sarcasm. With that being said...

He could be right about the digitizer but I'd also like to hear his opinion on whether or not a Forced Restart or even a factory reset would be worth a shot in this case.

I'm leaning towards a software issue instead of a digitizer (hardware) issue and only because of your first picture and the partial box around the screen.

There was absolutely NO sarcasm in my response. This is a user to user only forum. We are not Apple. We cannot test your watch from a photograph.

I doubt your cellular provider can do anything for you, unless you bought the watch recently and it's still within warranty. But as your tag line suggests you own an Apple Watch Series 4, which would have been released 4 years ago, your warranty has likely long been expired.

Here is how you can find Authorized Service Providers in NZ --> Find Locations - Apple

Yep, it’s definitely getting old now. My first suspicion was a software issue as it only started happening after a software update that introduced new watch faces (such as the full pink one in the photos).

Thinking I should just give in and buy a new one… it’s a 2 hour drive to my closest Apple repair shop and probably just as expensive to fix it in NZ.

Thanks for your help!

Same here... 2+ hour drive.

I made that drive several years ago for a pair of Series 3 watches on a December 23 or 24th, lol .

My current phone and watch came from my carrier.

Are you able to use the Apple store app on your phone and possibly order it directly from Apple?

The new SE 2nd Gen (GPS only) goes for like $249USD. The GPS + Cellular is like $349USD
