Can Mac Mail be setup as Pop3 for Outlook.com (not exchange). I try and always sets up as IMAP whereas with Gmail I can select.

Found a fix! If you go create your email with a bad password it enables you to add manually and change to Pop. Seems like an engineering issue to me but at least I found the workaround.
Thanks Randall_2023. However, I already have Pop3 enabled in outlook.com and it works fine in my MS Outlook client. When I set up in Mail, OS Ventura, it doesn't give me the option to select Pop3. It defaults, and doesn't offer a Pop3 configuration. I select add email (+ sign) then Other Mail Account to create.
I have done the same with Gmail, only have to use APP passwords, and able to setup as Pop3.
