I am no longer getting any family sharing notifications when the request to purchase something

I am no longer getting any family sharing notifications on my iphone from my childrens ipads. It was previously working when I first set everything up but now it is not. I have tried to troubleshoot the problem but nothing seems to rectify it.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16

Here is a solution where editing the name of a mobile device resolved recent occurrences of this issue. It has worked for at least 8 people (and likely more who never provided feedback). It isn't something that Apple has in its documentation so I am putting it in a separate post for those who are interested in exploring beyond Apple's officially recognized solutions.

Go to: Settings > General > About > Name

Change the name

Then "Done" and retry.
