Display Timeout

I’m trying to watch a video on my browser and my display continues to go in-active and sleep. I am tired of unlocking! There is no change of setting when I toggle the AUTO UNLOCK button it says 2 minutes with available option to change it too. Lol it doesn’t even stay on for 2 minutes.

Hi OokznErRoar,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that your iPad display locks before its set time.

This can happen if you have Low Power Mode enabled on your iPad. If Low Power Mode is enabled, Auto-Lock will lock the display after 30 seconds. You can learn more about the features impacted by Low Power Mode here: Use Low Power Mode to save battery life on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

"Low Power Mode reduces or affects these features:

  • 5G (except for video streaming) on iPhone 12 models1
  • Auto-Lock (defaults to 30 seconds)
  • Display brightness
  • Display refresh rate (limited up to 60 Hz) on iPhone and iPad models with ProMotion display2
  • Some visual effects
  • iCloud Photos (temporarily paused)
  • Automatic downloads
  • Email fetch
  • Background app refresh"

If you need additional assistance, we'd ask that you reach out to Apple to report this behavior here: Contact Apple Support

Take care!
