Hello CaseyB74,

We see you have an issue with the Mail app not launching properly on your MacBook Air. We have some steps to walk through that usually resolve this type of issue. You can find some of those steps here: If an app on your Mac stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support

  1. Restart your Mac
  2. Check for any macOS update: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support
  3. Boot your Mac to safe mode to see if Mail will launch: Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
  4. Create a test user profile, log in to it, then try to open Mail: Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

The last two steps help to identify what might be causing Mail to not open properly. It may be something to do with the overall macOS or specific to your user profile. If the first two steps haven't resolved the issue, reply back with how Mail acted after you test the last two steps.

Best regards.
