airdrop on my iPhone 14Pro

Ever since I upgraded my iphone to 14Pro many things aren't working. One problem is when I try to airdrop a photo from my iPhone to my iMac it shows up as an empty file. I have High Sierra on my iMac and haven't wanted to update because of certain apps I still use. I wonder if that is the problem? Still, it's VERY frustrating. Is there an answer or workaround? Thanks!
