Is it safe to put a hardcase shell on my macbook pro 14 m1?

I bought a clear case on online and it about 225 reviews with almost 5 star rating. I have watched a video that said to not put a hard case since, over time it will have an impact to the longevity oh your computer, and might affect /loosen the hinge. currently only have the bottom part attached. What are people doing? Using? what are your recommendation?

I recommend no case on these M1/M2 Macs.

The aluminum case of the M1/M2 MBP is a passive heat exchanger that works in concert with its fan. Block either with a case and you likely will reduce the life of your MBP. Even worse for those with MacBook Airs that have no fan.

I pay less attention to online reviews and more to common sense preservation of expensive equipment like my own 16-in M1 MBP.
