If you're having trouble when going through the App Store, try updating these details in your settings instead. To do that, use these steps:
1. Open the Settings app
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap Media & Purchases > View Account
Go ahead and update or change any billing information here as needed, then go back and try using the App Store or make a purchase.
