I’ve had the same IPhone for a while now, the iphoneXR and I’ve had Storage issues in the past mainly because of all the songs I like to keep but anyways I just want to know how much available storage is required to get the latest iOS update.

You need about 6 GB device storage and good Service & Wi-Fi.
If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.
Charge the battery > 70%.
