Return policy on MacBook Air M2

Hello. I am a photographer trying to determine if I can do most of my editing on the road using a lighter machine. I currently use a MacBook Pro while traveling and a Mac tower when I return to my studio. I am thinking of purchasing a MacBook Air M2 to use instead of the MacBook Pro but I'm not sure if the non-pro models can manage light to moderate editing work. I usually use a full frame camera which produces 100mb files raw and this takes a toll on almost any machine after a few files. I also sometimes use the Mac for some simple video work as well.

Thanks
