Hyperdisplay on Mac Mini 2020 M1 mouse command issues

On my 2020 Mac Mini M1 I have dual monitors running through Hyperdisplay because we only get one HDMI port (wth apple?) Since I added this I've noticed my mouse control over moving tiles, files and folders from one screen to the other, or just moving on the same screen, or just adjusting the size of the window, or even highlighting a file or folder name is super glitchy. Is there a fix for this? Is this a known issue? Is there another way (or a better app and peripheral) to set up my mini for multiple displays? I'm sure I'm not the only one asking this. (Running Ventura 13.2)
