Siri, CarPlay, SiriusXM Satellite - NOT the App

I have a SiriusXM account that delivers the service to my car via satellite - I have the app on my iPhone but I do not open it, I use the Radio button and select XM as the Mode. My car has Apple CarPlay. Can I use Siri to change stations in SiriusXM while I am also running CarPlay?

Apple Carplay We purchased a 2023 Toyota Crown. Manufacturer states our iphones SE third generation are compatible with the car. Carplay on the phone shows our car and set up. Phone shows connected in the car's settings. We can receive calls fine, call someone and play music only if we go through our phone, then it works fine through the car's system. However, if we ask Siri to change a song she says "sorry I can't control media well in carplay". Also, if we ask Siri to call someone, Siri says to connect a device. When we go under the car's settings it shows our phone is connected. We can call from our phone, but not via Siri. Siri will not work with the carplay/handsfree system on the new 2023 Toyota Crown.

CarPlay is not displaying all SiriusXM Channel I just had an Alpine iLX-407 receiver installed in my vehicle. I have an iPhone 13 with Software version 15.6.1 installed. I have SiriusXM streaming service which provides all stations on my SiriusXM app on my phone. All the stations display and play on my phone when not connected to the receiver. When the iPhone is connected with a cable to the receiver, CarPlay recognizes the phone and will play SiriusXM music through the receiver. The problem being experienced is that CarPlay will not display all of the SiriusXM channels. Only a partial list of channels displays, and in a seemingly random order; not in the channels’ numerical order, not grouped by type of music. A station I might wish to listen to might not appear in the CarPlay display. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a known root cause or solution? Thanks

Siri selects wrong radio station Whenever I want to play 'Radio Veronica' on my HomePod, Siri will play '192 Radio Veronica' which is a different radio station. I am able to select and stream it from TuneIn on my phone to the HomePod and every so often she decides to honour my request directly on the HomePod but most of the time she plays the wrong station. Would it be very difficult to let me configure pre-set radio stations? Or block certain radio stations? Also, I've read previous answers to the same question from other users. And yes, I have updated/restarted etc. And I use the full official name for the TuneIn station. And no, I cannot create a scene as that requires an Apple Music subscription.

While you can use Siri for a number of hands-free tasks while driving, navigation of individual apps may vary by app. We can recommend looking over the info here: Use Siri to Control CarPlay - Apple Support

Beyond that, SiriusXM may be the best point of contact regarding integration of their app and service with CarPlay.

Thanks for the prompt response. It seems to me, however, that if the answer to my question is "no, you cannot do that" it's more responsive and helpful to simply tell me, rather than giving me what appears to be a runaround answer and pointing me to other sources for the same treatment.
