Keychain forces password on me when I'm trying to fill in a TAN in a purchase

Several online purchase processes have been spoiled when Keychain enters a password where a password is not required. With my VISA card when I'm inputting a TAN for instance, Keychain will jump in there and put a password in. The vendor doesn't like this and the whole purchase process comes to a halt. Does anyone else have this problem? Is the only answer to turn Keychain off in in the iCloud? But sometimes I need keychain to supply me with a password in a website to get in, and then I need to input VISA-card information in the next step. Any ideas how to turn off keychain temporarily? Or how to be offered a password from Keychain only when I need one?

Ah Yes, the 3 or 4 digit code on the face or reverse side of the Credit Card - Thank you too 👍

I would start by verifying the Credit Card Numbers stored in Safari >> the same place from above image above.

My Credit Cards are stored there and included the TAN Numbers,

When I have made on-line purchases, some site do not pick up that 3 or 4 digit code properly and have to Manually Input

Another flaw, in some websites, miss the Expiry Dates of the Credit Card

I live in 🇨🇦 and the Date format on Sites in Other Countries will reverse the Month as Day and Day as Month.

No, you're talking about the Card Validation Code. A TAN is a one-off password you get on your mobile from your bank so you can confirm a financial purchase in real time. But that's not the real point of my problem. I just want to stop keychain from jumping in and putting in a password before I ask for the password.

Q - " Sorry, a TAN is a transaction authentication number and is used by some online banking services as a form of single use one-time passwords to authorize financial transactions. "

A - That would normally be via some type of SMS code and would appear in Message Application.

At least that is how it works here when I log into the Canadian Revenue Agency to check how much I owe the Government

A - A Password is not the Same as a TAN, by the user definition of TAN.

A - The TAN I receive is an SMS message sent to my iPhone and received in Messages

A - As my iPhone is configured to Forward SMS Messages to the computer, the same TAN is displayed on Both Devices.

A - When the TAN is needed to complete the Verification Process, the Operation System on the Computer o

A -Offers to pre-fill the TAN to complete the Transition ( Purchase ) .

Let me explain. I am in the middle of making a purchase, I enter my credit card details, and then there are two spaces – one for a TAN my bank sends me in real time (which I receive as an SMS as you point out and which I have to manually input. TANs are used a lot in Europe, where I live, btw) and one in which I input my permanent VISA pass number (for want of a better word). Now, I have to put these two numbers in manually, but as soon as I click on the relevant space with the mouse, Keychain leaps in and inputs a strong password. At this point I can no longer delete this password or edit the two spaces and I have to abort the transaction and start again. How can you at this moment in time turn Keychain off?

Another completely different problem with Keychain: on some websites for which I have a password, I click on the space requiring input of the password and instead of giving me the stored password, Keychain suggests a new password! Which is disastrous because the website is not setting up a new password and won't record it. Which means the stored password is effectively overwritten.

Keychain is a great tool – but these are two problems I have with it and would like to know if anyone else has them and how they deal with them.

I thought maybe others have these two problems and could offer solutions but it doesn't look like it. I will open an Apple support ticket but first I want to be really clear that I'm not doing something wrong - like touching the Magic Mouse by mistake and accepting a password from Keychain. Many thanks for your help.
