I have a 27 inch, mid 2011;macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6, what can be done so that i can upgrade to a newer macOS..

How can i update my operating system for my Imac, can i purchase M2 or M2Pro and use my existing 27" imac monitor?

There is no further upgrade path for that iMac.


Also, you cannot use that iMac as a screen for another newer Mac. That older feature has been abandoned by Apple.
