When I open the music and turn off the phone, the music does not appear in the notch, it only appears on the main screen

The iPhone 14 Pro Max doesn't have a notch, it has a Dynamic Island. Is that what you mean?

Things will only appear there when the phone is unlocked.

I suspect you mean “Dynamic Island” …

… which - on this Apple Music song at least - is just a small bit of screen real estate on either side of the “notch” proper:
