When I open the music app I see the current selection and the "Playing Next" list, the forward, backward and play buttons, the volume slider, but no progress bar. This happened suddenly after many years of working correctly. I have an iPhone 13, and the latest iOS.

Thank you. Shortly after I posted my question, I saw the solution that had been posted much earlier. Such a simple solution to a problem that it bothered me for weeks.
