How to stop charging my m2 macbook air via usb c docking station while I am using my external monitor?

Macbook pro M1 always plugged into docking station I've a Lenovo Pro Docking station that charges my Macbook Pro 14 inches when plugged in. I mostly use my Macbook with external monitor, so I've it plugged to the docking station. There is no change to disable the charging. Is it a problem for the battery to be always plugged in? It will reduce the lifespan of my battery? Thanks

Charging Mac While Connected to External Monitor I have the m2 Macbook air and use it at work daily. I connect it to an external monitor using HDMI and a dongle. I want to know what the best charging practice is when using the monitor at work. Should I let the battery drain and charge it every time it gets low, or is it best to simply leave magsafe connected. Whats the best method to use to preserve the health of the battery?

Mac charging when connected to external monitor via usb c Hi, I often use the mac connected to a Benq EX2780Q external monitor via usb c. By doing so, however, the mac is always charging even if in reality it is not charging because the power supplied by the usb c port of the monitor is only 5W. Is there any way to disable charging through that usb port from the mac? Could it create long-term battery problems in your opinion?

you are aware that it charges until it's full and then stop so it will have no harmful Sid effects to have it connected to ac power at all times right?

Same addition to above.

It is suggest to use the computer on Battery at least once a month.

Just to give the chemicals in the battery time to " exercise "
