FWIW, the latest versions of Safari would most likely work. The problem you have is you're running a version of macOS that is no longer supported and the latest versions of Safari will not run on it.

The version of Safari installed with High Sierra is the latest version you can run.

Looks like a dead-end-street since UBS is requiring a safer (?!) browser. Quite disappointing Safari (Apple) is not able to provide a safe browser.
that's what I experienced. Do you potentially know if there will be an update in the near future the Mac could run? If not, I need a new computer or an additional browser.
As I said, High Sierra is no longer supported so there will be no further updates. Did you try either of the browsers D.I. Johnson posted?
