Microsoft Teams app on Mac not showing messages notifications as they arrive.

MacAir M2 user here. I use it for work, and we use MS Teams/Outlook for communication. I installed the apps from the store. For MS Teams, messages added by other members of the chat screen are not showing until maybe 5 minutes or more. This makes the actual work inefficient. I "have" to keep the Teams app on my Android mobile device in order to receive messages notifications immediately. I know Apple will say that this is a MS Teams issue, and MS will say that is an Apple issue. But guys, is there anything that can be done? And please, do not suggest to "re-start Teams", as some people out there suggest, as, who can be working and re-starting apps just to get in sync with messages?
