Is It Ok To NOT use CleanMyMac X?

The macOS built-in self-cleaning capabilities and the built-in macOS anti-malware security work just fine.

Run some searches here in the forums for previous discussions of this and add-on anti-malware apps.

im a new MacBook owner and I'm very sensitive about my device either slowing down or potentially getting malware.

Neither of those happen on a Mac, by accident.

You could feasibly install malware on a Mac if you really try, but it certainly won't get there unless you cause it to happen.

I've been running some version of macOS for over 30 years and it has never slowed down or somehow became "unclean."

It's a hoax. You don't need and shouldn't use it.

Over Kill perhaps but better to know before hand - keep the aka " BrickMyMac " as far way from your machine as possible

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS,  is an invitation for disaster and comprise the Operating System

Certain Applications maybe available on the Apple Apps Store - this only means the Developer is prepared to pay Apple a portion on each sale. What the Application may do to the computer is up to the User to check this out before purchase

Any of the below should be removed as per Developers Instructions
