My iPad keeps saying my Apple ID password is incorrect, why?

I have reset my iPad to the point where it no longer continually asks me for my password to try to fix it, so when I get it connected to my Wi-Fi and try to sign in, it still says it's incorrect but it's not.

"Incorrect Apple ID Password" Message:

A. Where do you See this?

Where is is prompting you to enter this? Is it in Settings? Is it in a text message? If a text message or a Web site, it could be a scam.

B. Use a New iCloud Password:

If it comes down to it, change the password, and then try logging in with that. You'd have to enter your new iCloud password on all your devices signed into your Apple ID.
