A list of the pdf files that will be reopened.

All,

Any idea how can I get the a list of the PDF files that will be opened in case I restarted the laptop or review app. I am asking this question cause sometimes, after restarting my mac, I found that preview launched some pdf that I already closed several weeks ago. I am not sure, how preview choose the PDF file to reopen. Is there is a file that includes list of all PDF file that should be opened if the app or Mac was restarted.

Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Users and Groups -> Login Items will give you control over what you launch at login when you select the user logging in.

Keep in mind if you also have "Reopen Windows when logging back in" checked when you shut down your Mac, all the open windows of current active applications will restore at next login on startup.

It is better to Quit from the application menu each application before shutting down than leaving that checkmarked, if you need to get a choice of what's running when you next login or restart your Mac.

I may not have been clear enough about my question. Actually, I was looking for the list of the pdf files themselves that will be reopened once I restart the machine. Preview is already on the list of apps that reopen once I restart the machine.
