Postscript 3 unit driver too expensive

Hi I am trying to print from a Ricoh Aficio MP 2000 and the user guide says I need a postscript 3 unit Mac OS driver. It costs $135 - does apple have a better - free option?

i would add that the information you have for setting up the printer appears to be very old. I suggest that you go on line to the Rich web site and download a more current manual. Also, they should have any needed current drivers there.

The information suggesting you need a Postscropt driver on your Mac appears to be from the OS8 and OS9 era.

MacOS X uses PostScript as its native imaging languages, it does not need any add-ons to use PostScript.

¿have you demonstrated that it does NOT already "just work" ??
