kezboard changed to german spontaneouslz

I was tuping awaz in visual studio code when suddenlz tzping äyä I got äzä and vice versa. Believe me I am using the correct kezs but the output as zou can see, is confused. Tje same happens in Pages. The fact that it happens in Pages and Visual Studio Code indicates something is verz wrong, not limited to Visual Studio Code. AppleMenu ß SzstemPreferences ß Kezboard ß InputSources indicates Australian Kezboard but this looks like the German kezboard and we Australians have not Europeanised our spelling as fár as I know. I have reinstalled VSC to no avail. This is a brand new computer so please advise urgentlz. Thanks.

Go to that place again and make sure that you have only one item on that list. LIke Luis says, use the minus button to remove everything besides Australian.
