apple pencil stops working

My Apple pencil stops working intermittently while using it with my iPad. It is charged and synced with the iPad, so I don't know what the problem is. It just stops working for a while, then starts working again. Any suggestions ?

For the first 2 weeks it worked perfectly, but sometimes it suddenly stops (only the haptic feedback works). It charges, it is connected, and the tip isn’t loose (I tried screwing it off and back on, reconnecting it, but still happens). After 3-4 minutes it works fine again, but for the money (and since I use it for note taking), I’d expect it to work flawlessly. Anyone has the same issue/has a solution? If so, I’d appreciate if you could share it, because I’d love to avoid having to buy a new one.

Apple Pencil Disconnecting My Apple Pencil works for a while but then stops responding. It says that it is still connected but it won’t work. It starts to work when I turn my iPad off and turn it back on, then it works for a while again and the cycle just starts again

Apple Pencil 2 just stops working on iPad AIr 5 with iOS 16.2 2023 This is my 2nd day of using the Pencil with GoodNotes. It is paired, it is charged, as is my iPad, and it WORKS...until it stops. This happened on day 1. Then Day 2, it starts working again, and nothing has changed. Then it stopped. I have seen this occurring in past years with the earlier iPad's, iOS and Pencils. But now I have brand new equipment. So...?

Hey there ApplePencilProblems,

To clarify, do certain functions work with the Apple Pencil, or does it become completely unresponsive?

If possible, can you test to see is this happens with a different Pencil tip? This will help if the issue is with the current tip you have now.

If a new tip doesn't help and it's not connecting, Contact Apple Support directly so they can look into a few options with you.
