Touch ID

I set up Touch ID and then shutdown my MacBook Pro. Now it’s asking for Name and Password. How do I get past this if I don’t recall my password? (Well, I’m entering my password but it’s not accepting it)

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.2

The login password is always needed instead of Touch ID when starting a Mac. You can use Touch ID to unlock a Mac (e.g., after Sleep) but not for the initial login after starting a Mac. See: Use Touch ID on Mac - Apple Support
