Recovering Text Messages from MacBook

So, I recently had to purchase a new phone due to my previous one completely dying on me. Unfortunately, I lost all new messages started and text messages sent after the backup date, but all of my lost texts and new messages are still viewable on my MacBook Pro. Is there anyway to transfer all of my old messages from my laptop to my new phone through the cloud or some other method?
