Hey so after updating to Ventura through using an installer, I found that the installer icon was still in Launchpad. Upon attempting to launch it, a question mark appeared on the icon and it deleted itself from launchpad.
I am asking if this is an intended feature for the icon to delete itself from launchpad since MacOS installers remove themselves after an upgrade with the icon still being left by accident?
Once the Installer has run and successfully installed the application ( Installer ) remove itself
The icon in Launchpad may remains as a Leftover
When the user click on that Launchpad icon the ? may appear
Normal
To get rid of the icon from launchpad Hold the OPTION key until an X in upper left of the offending icon appear and click the X
Using same OPTIoN key and Drag the Offending icon to Trash

Yeah I did try that way but it didnt go into the bin nor did an X icon appear. However, the icon did delete itself when I attempted to open it. Ill take it that macOS just decided to remove it since the installer wasnt even there.
