Wifi connection not working for my iPad Pro (11") after ios 16.3.1 update

Immediately after installing iPad Pro update last night, iPad would not connect to my WiFi network. All my other devices connect to my network as normal.

I tried and all failed:

1) iPad hard boot.

2) Forget network and re-login

3) Restore from Music app backup (iMac). Prevents me because I need to turn off "Find My" which requires me to enter my credentials. But iPad can not "access Apple servers".

4) Restore to factory settings. Same result as above.

5) Tether to my iPhone to reach internet. iPad will not connect to my iPhone.


What else can I do except to wait for the next update?

Also, it's funny I get email notifications on my lock screen. I do not have a data plan with iPad

It appears that you're unable to connect your iPad to Wi-Fi, after completing the software update. You've completed some great troubleshooting steps. To clarify, what do you receive an error message when trying to connect your Wi-Fi network of your iPhone Hotspot to your iPad?

Also, update your Wi-Fi router with the latest firmware and make sure that the router supports your device. For more information, contact the router's manufacturer.

Thank you for your reply.

Actually, I had given up yesterday. But when I went to check on my iPad’s battery level late last night, I noticed my iPad was connected to my network. So everything is good now. Earlier I had tried to delete my VPN app. But it would not allow me. At some point thereafter the app was deleted. And so perhaps that’s the reason why my iPad was able to connect. Not sure why it took so long for the app to be deleted.
