I removed the email address from the Apple app and it stop. It’s not a Microsoft problem it is an Apple upgrade program that caused the problems. I’m using Outlook to get my email and solve the issue.

Which bypasses the mis-configured Hotmail server.
This started happening to me yesterday and has continued throughout today. Ive tried all the remedies ive found online and nothing works. Im at a loss and its super annoying
Delete your hotmail or other Microsoft email account (settings/mail/accounts), restart your phone, and add it back.
I did and it didn’t solve the issue.
Then you will have to contact Microsoft, as the problem is with their system.
This started when I updated iO16.3.
It is a Microsoft problem. If you can’t accept that it will never be fixed.
