What you describe is often caused by a battery that has dropped to 80% Battery Health or lower. That SE is probably 3-4 years old or more, and the battery on average goes about 2 years before it needs replacement.
What does it look like? Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Maximum Capacity
If the Battery Health is 83-84% it is getting close.
Perform a Forced Restart.........Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
Follow the instructions very carefully
With a Forced Restart, there are only 2 possible results:
1) The phone returns to normal operation
2) The phone has a hardware problem that will need to be checked out at the Apple Store or authorized Apple Service shop

Hey bob,
battery has not been replaced, it’s still working pretty well. I just had this issue yesterday.
When was the last time that you replaced the battery?
