What is install Mac Ventura on launchpad?

Hello, same happen to me but the icon is not show in Applications. And if I press Option when in launchpad the x to delete don't appear. Thanks in advance for any tip to erase it.

That is because the application called " Install Ventura " self destructs once the Installation is successfully installed on the computer.

It is a residue icon in Launchpad is exactly that - left over to a no longer exists

Click on the icon in Launchpad and nothing will happen.

Hold the Option Key while in Launchpad until that icon shacks and the X in top Left corner of icon will appear. Click the X and presto and viola - gone

Use the same as above Only this time Drag the Icon to Trash

Ok. Finally after I click in the icon and it turns with an interrogation symbol it let me erase with the option key and clicking the x that before didn't appear. Many thanks to all.

Most likely, that file would also be in 'Applications'. Go there in Finder and see if it's there. If so, and you're already updated, you can just delete it. Can't explain why it would be there unless you inadvertantly downloaded it.

It might be in a folder that is in Applications that isn't obvious unless you open every folder in Applications.
