Sudden pink screen and crash[M1 Mac air]

I recently bought an M1 MacBook Air, after a few days, 3 safari tabs were open I got a sudden pink and black screen and then it restarted. Should I worry?

Hi there eI192,

We understand you're concerned with your MacBook Air restarting on its own. Our first item to check is if your MacBook Air is operating as expected now?

If so, it might have just been a temporary issue with the display which caused your system to restart. We do have some resources to help with concerns like this. First, look at our guidance here: If your Mac restarted because of a problem - Apple Support

  1. Check for any software updates: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support
  2. Test your MacBook Air booted to safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
  3. Run the Apple Diagnostics test on it: Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support

If the issue persists and you've walked through those steps above, we'd next recommend reaching out to our support teams directly. You can reach them here: Get Support - Apple

You can also find our phone number for your region at this link: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

Take care.
