Monterey and HomeKit does not work together

Both my iPad and iPhone can see my Home. However, when I open my Mac Pro running Monterey 12.6.1, the Home app. comes up as a blank screen on my Mac Pro - no Home sidebar, no Home icons, no Home accessories, nothing in the window. It doesn't even display my Home name. Is this a result of iOS 16.2 bugs on my iPhone?


FYI. Yes, I am logged into the same AppleID, iCloud account.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.


We understand that your Home app on Mac doesn't display anything in the app. It shows blank. If you have not restart your Mac and check for any update for macOS Monterey to ensure performance and security fixes are installed.


If this continues, restart your mac in safe mode and check for the same behavior. Safe mode limits certain software form loading while checking the health of the startup disk.


"How to use safe mode

Determine whether you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, then follow the appropriate steps:


Apple silicon

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.
  3. Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”
  4. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.


Intel processor

  1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key as your Mac starts up.
  2. Release the key when you see the login window, then log in to your Mac. 
  3. You might be asked to log in again. On either the first or second login window, you should see ”Safe Boot” in the upper-right corner of the window."
