Activating visualizer turns off music on macbook pro

Activating visualizer (command T) on 2022 Macbook Pro in Apple Music Subscription turns off music on both computer and external speakers. Have to close Apple Music and restart to hear music again, but activating visualizer again continues to mute music. I'm running Ventura 13.2.1

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.2

Hey cerchin,

In your troubleshooting, did you quit the Music app and restart your Mac to see if fresh connections help to resolve this? Here are guides to help, just in case:

Quit apps on Mac - Apple Support

Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support

If not, let's help to narrow this down by testing this issue in another user account. Here's how:

  1. Create a new administrator account using these steps: Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support
  2. Log out of your current account by choosing the Apple menu > Log Out
  3. Sign in to the newly created account to test the issue

After testing, you can delete that new user account. Keep us posted on the results.

Take care!
