MacOS World Clock Design Flaw
Anybody from Apple here?
the World clock has a flaw the vertical lines do NOT represent the actual time zones, they are purely cosmetic, Apple chose once again design over functionality.

The map is a representation of day/night, not time zones. That you find no use in that is interesting biography, but it does not mean that Apple set design over function. The app does what it is designed to do. Time zones you get below. If that does not meet your needs then you should get another clock that does.

would be great if apple would fix that
As the lines shown are Lines of Longitude, you are correct, they do not represent time zones. Specifically, the lines shown are Lines of Longitude at 30º spacing.
yep exactly, what does that do for a traveller?

Personally, I see absolutely no benefit to be had over what is already there. Cities times based on their time zone.
if the vertical lines would represent actual time zones it would help to determine quickly time differences, right now the vertical lines have no function.
You might want to take a look at this article and see why drawing times zones is not very practical on a small map.

I'm reading your article on a 13 inch screen and it is very practical, as an airline pilot for 33 years I know how time zones work.
