There are very restrictive hardware and OS version requiremetn to use TDM and we do not know:

If you have a Mac Pro (big expensive profession desktop workstation) or a MacBook Pro (popular Apple notebook computer). Macs made after 2019 cannot use any iMac as a monitor.

What iMac sub-model you have. Only a small sub-set of iMacs made between Late 2009 and Mid 2014 could work as a mini for a supportd Mac.
