how specific can airtag help locate an item

imagine if I put AirTag to my keys which is relatively small item, how specific can AirTag with Find My help locate the item?

It seems when finds an item which shows on map an address only, how specific does it locate the item with my AirTag on? For example, i get to the address following the map, can it further locate the direction towards the item with AirTag on, say, within 5 meters area?

In my experience, Find My can be very accurate (correct address) and it can be almost accurate (+or- 1 or 2 house numbers or the wrong side of the road). This is why, when I had my iPhone stolen, the police informed me that they were unable to acquire a search warrant on the basis of a Find My indication. It is great for indicating the vicinity where you might have left your device/property, but it seems that the accuracy can be inversely proportional to the distance involved. I have no personal experience of AirTags, but I suspect that location accuracy will be similar to that of iPhones.
