how to transfer 20k photos and 300 notes from one iPhone to another?

the title explains it all. i can’t use airdrop cos our internet’s v unstable atm and im not that confident it’ll retain the quality for some reason (tho idek if airdrop requires wifi lawl). i turned on icloud for notes but none is showing up at all in neither icloud nor the other phone. i can’t just delete said phone too and make use of that feature where i can transfer data from an old phone to a new one because i already have a lot of data on it as well. my old phone was broken so i bought a new one and used it in its absence and i was only able to get the old phone back today :( 20k photos are a lot

iPhone 8, iOS 15

First, update your iCloud storage (Settings/[your name]/iCloud/Manage Account Storage/Change Storage Plan) to 200 GB. Then turn on iCloud Photos (Settings/[your name]/iCloud/Photos=ON) and wait for it to sync (it will use about 80 GB of your expanded iCloud storage). This will preserve the resolution of the images. When you turn on iCloud Photos on the new phone they will sync to it. Leave the phones plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi to make the switch as fast as possible.

Notes sync to email servers. So go to Settings/Notes/Accounts and see which account or accounts list Notes as enabled, then install the same account on the new phone.

Hello lamemanstuff,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand you'd like to transfer photos from an old iPhone to a new. If you can't do this using iCloud Photos due to your internet connection, it is recommended to use a Mac or PC to import the photos too. You can then sync them to the new iPhone. See the steps in this article: Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or PC - Apple Support

That should help. Let us know if you have any questions.

Take care.
