The audio on Hulu is no longer working on my iPad. The video plays, but no sound. Sometimes I can download the TV show and then it works. Other times, it does not. Every other streaming app works just fine.
Please note this is a 3rd generation Ipad pro 11 inch with wifi only. That model is not listed.
Hulu is no help at all. They want me reinstall the app, restart the ipad, etc. I've done that multiple times.

I’ve had this problem too. It’s definitely a bug in the app, though Hulu seems insistent on not acknowledging the problem. The fix I’ve found is watching Hulu via a browser (Safari has consistently worked for me) rather than through the app.

I have also done these exact steps and I still have no sound on Hulu. This has been happening for awhile now, why hasn’t Apple or Hulu fixed it yet?
I have done all of that multiple times. I am pretty well convinced this is a bug in the Hulu app. Sometimes the audio works fine, sometimes there is no audio. Sometimes downloaded shows work fine, other times there is no audio. Oh well. It does work fine on my laptop and phone.
When I try and access Hulu on the iPad in Chrome, it tells me to launch the app. But it does work just fine with Safari. Thanks!!

Hi! This has happened, is happening to me. I have an iPad 8th Gen with iOS version 16.4z
I am using my Bluetooth AirPod pros to listen.
The ONLY solution I’ve found (sometimes) is when I’m playing the show, I mess with the Airplay settings.
(It looks like a rectangle with a triangle on the bottom.)
I rotate from “ipad” to the “Airpods” while I simultaneously press the volume up/down buttons.
I know this sounds complicated lol but I really wanted to watch Tell Me Lies.
Also, hulu does not like VPN’s or anything that uses the “VPN” toggle within the iPad.

Here's what I have found. The first thing I try and play never works. The second one I try works every time.
I’m curious if anyone has found a way to resolve this issue. For awhile I could restart Hulu and sound would come back, but now I cannot get sound at all just in Hulu. I have an iPad Air 3.
For me, I had to delete the app, shutdown my iPad, and reinstall the app. Sound is working now.
Actually, for the past week it's been working perfectly the first time. Not sure why. Maybe the app has been updated. So make sure you have the most recent version.
