Sharing subscriptions with family

How can I use the AppleTV subscription that my daughter shared with me? I see it in sharing, selected it, created a sign on and password, but it won’t work on TV

Hi Mfpsfibro,

For help with viewing an Apple TV+ subscription on a Family Sharing plan, check the information below found in the article here: Family Sharing on Apple TV - Apple Support

"Family Sharing on Apple TV

Family Sharing lets you share apps and viewing privileges with up to six family members. One adult in your household—the family organizer—invites family members to join the family group and agrees to pay for any iTunes Store or App Store purchases made by family members. (Family Sharing, which works across all your Apple devices, is different from multiuser switching on Apple TV.)

Important: You can’t initiate or configure Family Sharing directly on Apple TV. It must be done on a Mac, an iOS device, or an iPadOS device. To learn more about setting up Family Sharing, see the Apple Support article Set up Family Sharing."

You can also check your Family Sharing settings with the help of the article here: If you can't find your family's shared content

"On Apple TV

  1. Go to Settings > Users & Accounts > [your name].
  2. Select Store.
  3. Select Sign Out.
  4. Select Sign In.
  5. Sign in with the same Apple ID that you use for Family Sharing."

Additionally, you can make sure your daughter has the following settings enabled to allow you to view the content and share. How to share purchases with your family - Apple Support
