Horizontal Line bottom of screen?

This has been an annoying feature of iPhones. The black or white horizontal line that appears at the bottom of the screen. When playing games, watching movies or just using some apps, there’s that annoying line. I have OCD and it bugs me all the time I see it.

I know how to swipe up to go back to the home screen, so giving users a way to disable this would be greatly appreciated!

Our family and my friends have reported this years ago, and seems like Apple aren’t getting our messages or simply just ignoring us.

Please do a system update to give users the ability to hide the black or white horizontal line that appears at the bottom of the screen.

Hello Coouge,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

That line is used to close apps on your iPhone.

"iPhone X and later

  1. From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
  2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
  3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app."

More details can be found here: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch

You can leave feedback regarding this by going to Feedback - iPhone

Cheers!
